A great way to start your photographer-seeking journey is by asking friends and family if they recommend anyone in the area. Chances are good that they’ve worked with (or know someone who’s worked with) a great photographer for portraits or life events. Chances are also good that a photographer who’s worked well with people close to you will also work well with you! Almost all of my referrals are word of mouth, and those clients generally end up not only being my photography subjects, but my good friends as well!
Using Facebook and internet searches are also great ways to find local photographers. Most professional photographers have a strong online web presence with portfolios of their work for you to browse. Once you’ve found a few studios you’re interested in working with, don’t be shy about setting up interviews! Schedule a phone call or casual in-person meeting to get a feel for the photographer and his/her process for creating images. It will quickly become clear whether it’s a good fit for both of you!

As a portrait photographer, I have always wanted to give opportunities to remember special times. As a mother, I know how fast time can fly past us. I have focused my abilities on creating artistic portraits of people, families, birthdays, headshots, personal branding, and others. People come to me to capture and create beautiful photographs of what truly matters to them. I am sure together, we can share ideas to meet your unique needs. WHAT TO EXPECT
Once you’ve confirmed your session, we’ll also book a consultation to go over ideas and materials. This meeting lets us plan how best to highlight your brand in photos, along with all the details. I’ll also check in with you via email or text to ensure everything goes smoothly.
The session will focus on activities you do every day in your business. You’ll do these actions a few times for the perfect result. There will likely be outfit changes, providing that’s in our plan. Of course, the session isn’t set in stone, and we may make minor adjustments as creative juices flow.
We’ll have an ordering session set up about a week after your shoot. Between your shoot and ordering session, I’ll cull and edit all your photos. During the ordering session, you’ll pick out the digital negatives you want and any other products you’d like.
